The EOS 3000N is the most outstanding cost performance EOS ever to be introduced to the market

With its eye-catching silver metallic finish, the EOS 3000N is Canon’s new entry level EOS, ideal for the newcomer to SLR photography yet with enough advanced features to satisfy owners as their photographic skills develop. It is an ultra compact and lightweight camera, and while retaining all of the same basic features of its predecessor, the EOS 3000N also incorporates additional functionalities, like a Night scene mode, manual and autofocussing point selection and E-TTL autoflash metering (with EOS-dedicated, external Speedlite).
The camera will be available as a Quartz-Date (QD) model and a non-QD model.
