By using more of the CCD’s horizontal pixels than the widescreen systems of other camcorders, Canon’s True Widescreen shooting mode captures panoramic High Resolution 16:9 movies that are ideally suited to playback on wide TV sets.

From a precision lens to the imaging chip and the super fast DIGIC DV processor, Canon camcorders are optimised for High Resolution 16:9 widescreen. All new Canon camcorders also feature a widescreen, full-colour LCD screen and an additional colour viewfinder, allowing you to monitor your footage during recording exactly as it will end up on the TV screen. A special level marker makes it even easier to line up the perfect shot.

It’s equally easy to choose between wide 16:9 and standard 4:3 recording modes. A one-push selection button is ideally positioned on the camcorder’s body. With Canon you get the best of both worlds.
