binoculars and calculators. Canon Middle East FZ LLC is the Middle East marketing and sales operation for the US$ 25 billion global company headquartered in
Tokyo, Japan. It has been represented in the Middle East for over 40 years through its business partners: companies that flew the flag for Canon, and built a solid base of loyal customers. In 1998, Canon set up a representative office in Dubai, UAE, to
help the partners deliver even more with additional on-the-ground support. By 2001, Canon had transformed into a full subsidiary with extensive logistics facilities, and in 2002 moved into its spacious new head office at Dubai Internet City, with a
rapidly growing staff of 68. As part of expansion Canon Middle East has also opened its new regional representative office in Smart Village, Cairo – Egypt in 2004, that will enable Canon to be
closer to its Business Partners and customers . In addition, as of January 1st, 2005, Canon North Africa S.A.S. (CNA) based in Paris has become 100% owned subsidiary of Canon Middle East and takes care of the French speaking African
countries. Along with its logistics facility at the Jebel Ali Free Zone, the high-tech Canon Building in Dubai Internet City enables CME growing staff to bring the latest products to its distribution
partners even more quickly and to reach a wider community of customers. Canon is also building closer relationships with other high-tech companies in the Middle East, working to integrate its office and consumer products with technologies from regional software,
hardware and networking companies. Canon Middle East manages today sales, marketing and technical activities across more than 30 countries, the largest markets being Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt. Other Middle East countries it covers are Iraq, Jordan,
Lebanon, Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, Bahrain, Qatar, and the resent addition to the market Libya; French speaking African countries namely: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad,
Comoros, Djibouti, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mayotte, Morocco, Niger, Congo Brazzaville, Reunion, Senegal, Togo and Tunisia. Canon Middle East also gets involved in the local communities as much as possible supporting regional sporting events such as Asian Cup Basketball, local development activities (golf days for
local amateurs to play with top pros as well as for kids to learn the game in clinics), as well as education and the environment (Canon is a supporter of WWF in the Middle East). Canon's business in the Middle East has grown steadily, with consistent growth of 30-40% per year. This success has been built on many factors, not the least being the talent, drive and

How we work Office imaging products and office personal products sales account for the largest proportion of Canon Middle East's annual turnover. Printing solutions, copiers, fax machines and document
management systems are sold through our in-country partners. Computer products, such as Bubble Jet printers and scanners, are mainly sold via distributors and retail outlets, as are other small office/home office business machines. Service support for
these products is provided through the partner in each country.
