Two new Canon Essential Business Builder Program (CEEBP) modules launched at drupa to meet changing needs of the market 13 modules designed to help print companies on the Path to Profit Specialised Lounge to showcase CEBBP seminars and consultancy advice
Last year, Canon commissioned research into Web-to-Print that demonstrated printers did not fully understand the dynamics of the emerging e-commerce marketplace. This has led to the development of two new Web-to-Print modules that will be demonstrated for the first time at drupa in the Canon Essential Business Builder Lounge in Hall 8A. The first module will help print companies to understand and plan to incorporate Web-to-Print into their business models; the second takes them forward into making the investment and to maximise the opportunities Web-to-Print can bring to their business. In addition, a new module on Variable Data Printing (VDP) will enable companies to explore new avenues to exploit the power of personalisation on their digital presses. The module explains the practical applications of the technology so printers can inspire their customers to develop their own marketing ideas. Mark Lawn, European Solutions Manager, Professional Print, Canon Europe says: “The whole emphasis of this drupa for Canon is based on customers and how we can support their businesses. Our themes of The Path to Profit, and the Canon Essential Business Builder Program, play a prominent part in the design and structure of the Canon stand. “We are all about showing rather than telling customers what to do. The CEBBP modules are full of illustrative hints and tips that guide printers to explore new ideas. Because each pack is geared towards a country specific audience, there are messages that are tailored to local conditions but are not prescriptive – they generate ideas and provide inspiration to an audience that has a natural leaning towards learning and an interest in spreading the message to their customers.” Canon is also demonstrating some of the content of its cross-media module, which demonstrates how marketing techniques, such as video messaging and mobile text marketing, can support a print campaign and is due to launch later this year. Together, the CEBBP modules and consultancy programmes encompass 13 modules, offering practical support and advice, distributed across 13 countries. It represents a significant investment by Canon as part of a bespoke solution and essential proposition to its Professional Print customers. Continued Lawn: “As a company we invest an enormous amount of time and money in developing our customers’ businesses. We manufacture and sell very powerful technology and it is essential we help our customers utilise it to the maximum effect. Our company philosophy is based around Kyosei – ‘living and working together for the common good’ – and we believe in taking this to our customers. If we can generate an environment where it we generate a win / win situation and we help our customers along the Path to Profit, they will be able to come back to us with more business in the future.” Customers and prospects are invited to experience the Canon Essential Business Builder Program in the CEBBP Lounge at drupa on the Canon stand B46, Hall 8A. Please see your nearest Canon delegate to arrange a guided tour of the zone.
