Canon’s local and European sponsorship activities are carefully developed in-line with our brand values and the principles of Kyosei – living and working together for the common good. Raising our profile and contributing to the communities in which we operate are both important factors when it comes to deciding how to plan our sponsorship activity.

Conserving the environment is a major focal point for Canon and we pride ourselves on our long-standing partnership with conservation organisation WWF. We support their activities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Sport is another way in which we are able showcase technology innovation. As an official supplier to the UEFA Champions League, we support their organisation and events with our technology both in the back office and in assisting the professional photographers.

Our latest involvement with the fashion industry, Love Fashion, includes principal sponsorship of the London, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks over the next three years. Love Fashion is the latest in a string of collaborations with the fashion industry.

A few years ago, Canon mingled with 80 cultural icons for 'On the Other Side of the Lens' a photographic project in aid of the Red Cross. The project gave a candid view into the lives of music, film, design, literature and fashion industry luminaries such as Douglas Coupland, Tommy Hilfiger, Nicole Kidman, Jimmy Choo, Patrick Cox and P J Harvey. Similarly, Canon’s fundraiser ‘The Other Side of Football’, helped The European Red Cross to raise funds by auctioning photographs taken by international celebrities and football personalities.
